Master Chris Hatch
Master Hatch was born and raised on Cape Cod. He graduated Nauset Regional High School in 1986. He then attended UMass Dartmouth and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1991.
He began his martial arts training in 1985 in Orleans, MA, studying Kempo, and continued throughout his college career at a Kempo school in New Bedford, MA.He was awarded his first degree black belt in december of 1989. He has since been promoted to second degree black belt in 1993, third in 1996 and fourth degree black belt in 1999. Sensei Hatch tested in New York on October 20th, 2004 under Professor Kimo Ferreira, and was promoted to 5th dan. On May 15th, 2009, Professor Ferreira promoted Sensei Hatch to 6th Dan.
Sensei Hatch took over the operation of the Kempo school in Orleans that he had been studying at in 1991 and has continued to train people of all ages in the art of Kempo Karate, through his school and through teaching seminars throughout the New England area.
He currently lives in Brewster with his wife Vicki and their daughters, Rhyanna and Katrina.
